You can plan your journey through SL Stockholms Lokaltrafik (subway, commuter trains), SJ trains, and ResRobot. However, finding your way between trains, subways, commuter trains, and buses can be confusing, even for an experienced traveler. It’s even more challenging for tourists and most difficult for those with physical limitations. What does the info board say? What do you do if the escalators break down, which happens often?
- T-centralen is the hub for the subway. It shares the same entrances as Stockholm City. Map. Info Jernhusen.
- Stockholm City is located under the subway’s T-central for commuter train traffic.
- At Cityterminalen, between Klarabergsviadukten and Kungsbron (Kungsgatan), buses dock to a waiting hall. They connect to flights (Arlanda, Bromma), boats, line buses, and international traffic. Map. Info Jernhusen.
- Stockholms Centralstation serves regional trains, long-distance trains, and the Arlanda Express. The station is visible from Vasagatan, as the white main building with a large waiting hall. <photo> Below, there is a lower floor with pedestrian tunnels. From the lower floor, you can access the subways (mainly the red and green lines) and commuter trains. Map. Info Jernhusen.
